Humble Country – things we have liked, loved and are looking forward to!
Such excitement in the air at HC HQ today as we write our inaugural blog – corks popping (well ice cracking whilst lovely G&T poured over it!), fireworks lighting up the sky and joyous laughter all around! How do you contain 4 giddy gals with just so much to say?
Our friendship and ultimately our love of all things ‘home & garden’ created a passion to share our HC style with you. Now don’t expect all shiny & new – well perhaps a bit…, we also love a real mix of rustic, antique, weathered and worn all mixed up in a big eclectic bowl – with a small pop of colour thrown in for good measure! There’s also a slight obsession with grey – but it is still the best colour around. We will feature our favourite pieces curated from a myriad of sources, that we truly believe will suit every type of abode, be it country cottage or urban dwelling – remember we are ‘relocated city folk’ and have lived in an array of different properties – from modern piano factories & urban semi’s to country cottages. We’re extremely excited to help you achieve the HC look you crave!
Things HC love this month
- Warm Spring air
- Peonies ready to burst into life and homegrown produce thriving
- Purchasing new vintage wooden storage crates – a million uses for them
- Light lazy evenings…
- The words of Nate Berkus ‘your home should tell the story of who you are and be a collection of what you love’.
We are currently busying ourselves and looking forward to the launch of ‘The Humble Country Marquee’ at BBC Countryfile Live, Blenheim Palace 3-6th Aug 2017 – put the date in your diary and come and see us, we would love to meet you and introduce you to Humble Country life!
